What is the advantage of a slant bed over a horizontal lathe?

Three main differences. First — chips fall freely under their own weight, do not accumulate in the working zone and do not damage the guideways. Second — higher structural rigidity, allowing greater feed rates and cutting parameters. Third — better operator access to the cutting zone and tool, easier setup. For these reasons the slant bed has become the standard in modern manufacturing.

What is the maximum workpiece size that fits the machine?

The Taizhou Eastern CNC range covers diameters from 200 to 800 mm and lengths from 500 to 2000 mm. Specific parameters depend on the model — selection is based on your typical part dimensions. For non-standard sizes, the factory builds machines to individual specifications.

What accuracy do your machines achieve?

Positioning accuracy on X and Z axes — 0.005 mm, repeatability — 0.003 mm. On a properly calibrated machine, IT6-IT7 tolerance is achievable without an additional grinding operation. For precision parts, options include: probe, thermal compensation, P4-class spindle.

What is the delivery time to Kazakhstan?

Standard 60-90 days from contract signing: 30-45 days production, 21-28 days sea freight and customs. Stock items (popular models in standard configuration) — shipping within 30-45 days. Urgent air freight is possible but doubles logistics cost.

Which CNC system is installed?

By default — Fanuc 0i-TF Plus or Siemens 828D Sinumerik, customer choice. Both are world standards, with available operators and programmers in Kazakhstan. Optional GSK 980TDc (for budget solutions) and Mitsubishi M70V.

Can hardened parts be machined (hard turning)?

Yes. The rigid cast bed and quality servo drives enable hard turning of hardened steels up to HRC 62 (e.g. ШХ15, Х12МФ). This is often more cost-effective than internal grinding. Only CBN or ceramic inserts are required.

What is included in the machine package?

Standard package: machine with CNC system, 3-jaw hydraulic chuck, hydraulic unit, tailstock chuck, basic tool holder set, oil system, coolant system, safety enclosure, machine passport, Russian-language documentation. Options (C-axis, live tooling, chip conveyor) are quoted separately.

How much does a slant bed CNC lathe cost?

Price depends on model and configuration. Entry-level machines (200-300 mm machining diameter) — from 25-35 thousand USD. Mid-range (400-500 mm) — 45-70 thousand. High-productivity models with C-axis and live tooling — from 80 thousand.
